In a dramatic season finale, Alan, charged with carrying a nuclear bomb to the heart of the asteroid that is about to collide with Earth, encounters the consciousness of the mysterious but dead Julie Mao and removes his space canopy! Surely this means he too will inhale one of the deadly ‘protomolecules’ floating through the chamber and so die?
