On holiday, in Wyoming, staying in a hotel with breath-taking views, Alan snaps back into full consciousness following a fugue state that started the moment he entered the restaurant buffet. To his surprise, he seems to have placed a pizza on top of asparagus on top of an inverted fried egg, supported by sausages sunk into mashed potato surrounded by peas. What can it mean? While to anyone else it would surely seem a riddle, inside a mystery, wrapped in a calzone, to Alan it is obviously a brave new dish. He quickly decides to cut this episode short, leave first thing tomorrow morning and patent this surprise gift of his genius culinary subconscious.
