Alan remembers the Gorn as a rather strange cartoon like creature standing tall in a simple leather jerkin while fighting hand to hand with Kirk in a strangely homoerotic manner. Happy days! The new prequel series has reimagined them as the main enemy, to rival the Klingons, Romulans, Borg and Jem’Hadar: vicious reptiles who lay carnivorous eggs in your stomach as soon as look at you. 

On a pitch black set, Alan quakes as he first encounters this fresh horror.
