Having heard last week that an irate listener had written to the character Peggy Woolley asking why, to achieve some basic knowledge of events in Ambridge of which she was obviously unaware, she did not listen to The Archers, Alan wonders whether he could retrospectively avoid some of the unpleasantness he’s had with the Borg by watching reruns of his own show with a chronodrive plumbed into the Saucer’s circuitry on stand-by.

Then again, he’s always been a bit confused by temporal mechanics.
