The Season 9 poster, a long time in production, is by a new design agency MITCH. What a good thing that Alan’s studio held its nerve and waited for this fine result! 

Does it promise a change of direction for Season 9? Rather than mindless entertainment, will it aim to address some of the substantial threats facing all Terran life? Rather than gallivanting round the pleasure planets of the galaxy, will Alan be stranded on Earth in exile, his saucer disabled, working as a scientific advisor to the international military group UNIT? Who can say?
