Although the pre-release publicity for Sir Patrick Stewart’s new series Picard is making most of the TV sci-fi running, a still image from the next series of Alan has finally emerged, although it’s frankly baffling the experts. Has Alan entered a mirror universe which is even more futurist-hat-obsessed than the familiar ‘proper’ evil Mirror Universe?
Pleasing, though, to many fans is that it looks as though Captain Pike - here hiding his obvious hat-less-ness using the saucer’s space canopy: a typical piece of Pike’s suave quick thinking under pressure - will be in the new series.
