Arriving at planet Minogue 279, Alan has been instructed by his line managers that he must obey every whim of the sometimes simplistic-seeming General Order I (his son, General Order II, is apparently the bright spark of the family) who wants them to watch while the planet’s primitive natives slaughter one another with weapons somehow copied from the Saucer’s meat tenderiser and apple corer. (The details of their reverse engineering, carried out from mere telescopic observations, are somewhat sketchy in the script.) 

It is, however, sometimes a pleasure simply to relax and comply with instructions.
