Episode 7.12b

With only three episodes to go in the season, Alan’s studio has put its successful continued filming during the Covid pandemic down to the maintenance of strict discipline in the cast bubble. Here we see them being instructed through an informational video from space boffin Mark Hogarth (played in the video by Archie as, sadly, Hogarth himself has taken a hit on the chin) who advocates that those who test positive are kept behind some sort of sheet, constantly ventilated with a fan (presumably something to do with Gillian McKeith’s theory that one’s facial expression becomes fixed when the wind direction changes), somehow drinking soup through a hole in the said sheet (the details of that bit are rather sketchy) and looking longingly at a beloved pet of some sort, kept always just out of reach. 

With such science behind them, Alan’s confidence remains high.
