Episode 6.15b
Well
that’s a wrap. Another 15 episode season is completed. But this series
break promises real change perhaps mirroring Patrick Stewart’s departure from
Star Trek The Next Generation on 18 June 1990. Of course that show went on to
even greater success with its former Number One in charge. Let’s hope that Tenbury Wells can equally rise to the challenge, though there is no sign that an elephant can
manage Jonathan Frake’s bizarre ability to mount a chair from behind.
Many have suggested that the
putsch that led to Alan’s fall was his insistence on breaking new ground with
gory special effects in this season. So we can perhaps expect more episodes in the next series focusing on a single parent Klingon learning life lessons in child care and more precious insights from the ship’s counsellor.
